Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, Associate’s degree, or certificate in accounting. Must be currently enrolled in law school with a focus in tax law.
  • Plans to complete the CPA (with 150 credit hours) or JD.
  • Opportunities for internships in spring and summer.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of state and local tax engagements, including data gathering, preparation of returns, and tax research, where needed.
  • Complete workpapers related to state and local income tax before submission to job supervisor for further review.
  • Prepare tax resolution notices, gather data, and assist in tax field exams.
  • Other special projects as assigned.
