Requirements

  • At least 3 years progress towards Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to function well in a team environment.
  • E.I.T. certificate or previous intern experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of classes in steel design, concrete design and structural analysis required. Classes in wood design and/or masonry design preferred.
  • Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to the design and construction of major building projects located in California.
  • Familiarity with typically utilized computer software programs (ETABS, RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA-3D, SAFE, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

  • As a structural engineering intern in our Orange County office, you will get the opportunity to gain some real world engineering experience on a wide range of project types and sizes and to learn skills to help take your future career where you want it to go. You will also get to work with some amazing people and learn from other engineers with a deep and diverse skill set while being actively engaged in a fun, collaborative office environment.
