Requirements

  • Working towards a degree or equivalent experience in Geology or Geological Engineering
  • Curiosity about structural geology, economic geology or machine learning applications in geology
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to take initiative, work independently and manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to independently conduct and summarize research on new topics
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to distill and communicate complex ideas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Familiarity with GIS and 3D modelling software is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Participation in the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day
  • Support the Structural Geology team with planning and execution of projects
  • Engage with Engineering, Geological, and Mine Operations departments
  • Build and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
