Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
  • Available to begin work in January 2025

  • Possess excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Must be enrolled in an Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health or Safety Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Construction site visits.
  • Assist with inspections and incident investigations.
  • Manage and review documents (i.e.: data entry, taking minutes, filing etc.).
  • Manage data and updates to the iAuditor verification tool.
  • Analyze site-specific trends and incidents and report findings.
  • Participate in Quality audits and inspections.
  • Support Quality team in reviewing construction quality records.
  • Prepare Construction Turnover packages.
  • Maintain and report on Quality Performance Indicators.
  • Gather/review/distribute safety-related statistical information and safety alerts.
  • Participate in auditing performance of contractor’s safety management system.
  • Participate in hazard and risk assessments.
  • Interpret, communicate, and reinforce project safety standards to workforce.
