Provide a unique opportunity to interface and contribute to the development of hospital initiatives in various departments. Specific focus to special projects in assigned area. There is no hands on patient care.
Under close supervision, perform entry level professional duties providing the opportunity for professional training in various departments within the hospital. Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports, assist in preparing written reports; filling; accompany professional level employees on assignment. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the Hospital's organizational structure and services. Utilize Hospital and or department specific software to complete assignments.
Specific activities vary by assignment.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Interest in healthcare is preferred
  • Position will be 150 hours in one semester. Schedule will be determined by leader of department.
EDUCATION/LICENCES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Current enrollment in undergraduate or graduate level degree program at California State University, Fresno and have completed at least one semester of classes.
