Requirements

  • You attend a high school in one of the following 14 California school districts; (Livermore Valley, Santa Clara, Jon Swett, San Marcos, Basset, Dublin, Ventura, Oakland, Compton, El Mont, Hinckley-Big Rock, St. Joseph, ROWVA, Porta)
  • You are 16 years or older and an enrolled student or graduating senior
  • You have an interest in construction, energy, physics, sustainability, and engineering and may have previously taken a course related to these topics
  • You can complete research, readings, and writings without supervision
  • You have the ability to carry out a final project on a LEED topic of your choosing
  • You can read and write English at a level required for a successful job performance
  • You can learn all safety aspects of the job
  • You understand and follow oral and written instructions, and you can maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course work

Responsibilities

  • You will join a cohort online working to obtain an understanding of the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Green Associate programming. You will participate in virtual classes with students from different districts across the country, engage in a weekly national intern conference call, and work towards obtaining your LEED certification.
