Requirements

  • Physical Requirements:
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting and reaching overhead. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds at shoulder height. Must be able to push patients in wheelchairs or supplies on a rolling cart. Intact sense of sight and hearing is required. Responsible for working in a safe manner.
  • Education, Experience and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Currently enrolled or at least one-year experience in a college/university as an undergraduate or graduate student in Healthcare, Hospitality, Social Sciences, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration required; concentration in Healthcare preferred. Planning, prioritizing, oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, team, and computer skills required

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties as assigned by leadership that will enhance the intern's college study.
  • Works as a member of the departmental team to develop and implement customer support services to assist patients, families, and guests.
  • Provides administrative coverage.
  • Types documents, creates spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assists with research projects, data analysis, and/or creating various reports.
  • Assists with TJC education preparation as required.
