The main purpose of the Student Intern position is to support the department with assigned projects and duties that will enhance the intern's college study and objectives.
What types of duties will the intern be responsible for?
The intern will perform duties including patient and family visits, delivery of support services, research projects, data analysis, administrative tasks, and creating documents such as letters, spreadsheets, and presentations.
What are the physical requirements for the intern position?
The physical requirements include walking, sitting, lifting and reaching overhead, lifting a minimum of 10 pounds to shoulder height, and the ability to push patients in wheelchairs or supplies on a rolling cart. An intact sense of sight and hearing is also required.
What educational background is necessary for this internship?
Enrollment in High School, Undergraduate, Master's, or Postgraduate programs is required for this internship.
What skills are necessary for the Student Intern role?
The role requires excellent planning, prioritizing, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Computer skills are also necessary.
