Responsibilities

  • As an intern, you'll be an integral part of our nationwide efforts to drive meaningful change in equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB). The intern will be supporting the following focus areas:
  • Affiliate Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) Trainings
  • "Affiliate Equity Pipeline" (Diversity Recruitment and Talent Attraction)
  • Southern Legal Internship Program Manager Training (SLIP)
  • Rise: Virtual Intersectional Leadership Program
  • Your Day to Day:
  • Strategic Conversations: Engage in strategic discussions on a nationwide scale, contributing to our commitment to fostering equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Cutting-Edge Research: Research and share cutting-edge learnings to support a culture of learning and growth in the realm of EDIB.
  • Research and Recommendations: Contribute to best practice research and provide recommendations to enhance our EDIB initiatives.
  • Communication:
  • Written correspondence to stakeholders across the nationwide organization
  • Data synthesis for PowerPoint decks catering to various audiences
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Identify relevant data sets for Excel and PowerPoint reports
  • Analyze and report on priority programming and learning community effectiveness
  • Intranet Content Creation: Maintain and update content on "the HUB," our intranet platform.
  • Meeting Involvement:
  • Attend critical meetings with ACLU affiliate staff and board members
  • Draft follow-up summaries and communications, documenting key learnings
  • Resource Management: Organize and maintain resource banks for effective communication of EDIB/ALDA programs and tools.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist in coordinating learning calls and webinars
  • Support virtual workshops and convening administration
