Requirements

Open to all majors, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development or other related major preferred
Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining high degree of confidentiality
Ability to set priorities and multitask

Responsibilities

This intern will partner with Generalists and Senior Generalists to provide day to day assistance in efforts to support the associate population such as performance management, retention, total rewards, and associate relations. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Learn more about the yearly HR cycles such as performance management and compensation
Learn more about associate relations and retention
Partner with senior team members to support the yearly HR cycles
Conduct interviews and feedback discussions to identify and track trends that may impact retention
Collect data regarding current processes; develop improved methods with input from stakeholders
Comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, including minor labor laws
Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
