Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
  • Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Actively participate in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and your assigned project.
  • Ability to work in a team environment but also work strong independently.
  • Ability to be organized and detailed to balance several projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • The Social Media Marketing Intern will leverage social media fundraising components to bring awareness to third-party fundraising activations. The ideal candidate is someone who has their finger on the pulse of culture and can apply social listening to innovative ideas. They will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging social content that converts followers within Facebook, Instagram, Patreon, and TikTok. Individual will work closely with Social Marketing Fundraising Liaison.
  • As our intern, you will:
  • Manage social fundraising calendar
  • Create and coordinate social fundraising content
  • Utilize and leverage enterprise social strategy
  • Develop fundraising activations native to the social media platform
  • Projects include:
  • Creating an evergreen livestream strategy and executing to try to new types of ways to engage our audiences on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to drive donations
  • Developing a timeline of new and innovative fundraising activations specific to Facebook Birthday and Generic fundraisers that drive stronger awareness of the platform tool
  • Establish strategies for the acquisition of monthly subscribers and content of value for the St. Jude Patreon community.
  • Experience working with social media content systems like Sprinklr or Hootsuite a plus; Photoshop, InDesign or related software knowledge a plus.
