Requirements

  • Prior music industry internship experience and knowledge
  • Genuine eye/ear for discovering new and emerging artists
  • Passion for today’s popular/relevant genres and culture
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong desire to solve problems and learn new things
  • Ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of YouTube and Connected TV-related products
  • Work as part of a team and independently on projects
  • Rising Senior currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Desire to pursue a career in the music industry
  • 20 hours per week (June 4th, 2024 - August 8th, 2024)
  • Discretion and professionalism when working with high-profile talent

Responsibilities

  • Audit competitors and tastemaker platforms to identify emerging artists to proactively engage with
  • Curate/edit thematic playlists (i.e. moods, timely events) for both YouTube and the Vevo TV app
  • Help with various day-to-day duties for our connected TV (CTV) linear channels
  • Help with entering and launching end screens and channel cards for YouTube
  • Assist with organizing promotional slates for label partners
  • Track and provide YouTube and CTV playlist/programming-related data
  • Assist with the standards and practices process for music videos
  • Create 5 new ideas for linear channel blocks that we currently do not offer in our programming and present them to the team
