Requirements

Knowledge of x86 processor architecture.
Knowledge of motherboards that support x86 processors.
Ability to write about hardware and software as it relates to x86 processors and infrastructure.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment following prescribed processes for delivering NDA documentation to engineers.
Ability to work on multiple documents concurrently.
Demonstrates initiative in defining process and documentation issues and offering solutions.
Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision and to solve problems independently
Bachelor students, preferred year, Junior (year 3) or Senior (year 4).

Responsibilities

The AMD Client Business Unit’s Technical Documentation Dept is looking for a Co-Op technical writer with the knowledge and ability to write and edit engineering-level documents for x86-based computer hardware and software. In addition, experience with Word, FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Visio, Jira, and Confluence is preferred. Experience with DITA XML is a plus.
