Requirements

  • Knowledge of x86 processor architecture.
  • Knowledge of motherboards that support x86 processors.
  • Ability to write about hardware and software as it relates to x86 processors and infrastructure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment following prescribed processes for delivering NDA documentation to engineers.
  • Ability to work on multiple documents concurrently.
  • Demonstrates initiative in defining process and documentation issues and offering solutions.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision and to solve problems independently
  • Bachelor students, preferred year, Junior (year 3) or Senior (year 4).

Responsibilities

  • The AMD Client Business Unit’s Technical Documentation Dept is looking for a Co-Op technical writer with the knowledge and ability to write and edit engineering-level documents for x86-based computer hardware and software. In addition, experience with Word, FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Visio, Jira, and Confluence is preferred. Experience with DITA XML is a plus.
