What kind of projects will I work on during the internship?
During the internship, you will perform basic design and production of construction document duties, analysis or calculations, and assist Licensed Professionals with various tasks related to design and specifications.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this internship?
Candidates must be pursuing a professional engineering degree in civil or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Is there an opportunity for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Professional who will provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship throughout your internship experience.
What are the essential skills required for this internship?
Candidates should have good personal habits, the ability to work well with others, stay on task and complete work on schedule, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Are the job responsibilities limited to design tasks?
No, in addition to design tasks, you will also be responsible for creating work plans, conducting analyses, checking work, participating in field inspections, and maintaining orderly work files.
What are the physical requirements for this position?
The position requires ordinary ambulatory skills, the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds), and good hand-eye coordination.
