What is the location of the internship?
The internship can be either remote or hybrid from our New York or D.C. office.
What is the time commitment for the internship?
The internship requires a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week.
How long does the internship last?
The internship spans 10 consecutive weeks.
Is there a stipend provided for interns?
Yes, a stipend is available for students who are lawfully authorized to work and do not receive compensation from other sources. The stipend for law students or equivalent experience is $24 per hour.
What is the priority application deadline?
The priority application deadline is November 15, 2024.
Are applications accepted after the priority deadline?
Yes, applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
What qualifications are required to apply for the internship?
Applicants must be enrolled at an ABA accredited law school and have completed at least one year of law school before the internship begins.
What qualities are desired in interns for this position?
Interns should possess excellent legal research and writing skills, attention to detail, initiative, a commitment to criminal defense and social justice, and good communication skills.
