Requirements

  • Good understanding in these areas: (i) basic VLSI design concepts, (ii) linear systems, (iii) statistics, (iv) programming concepts with experience in Python
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are needed. Participation in team projects both in school as well as extracurricular activities are of interest. Being a self motivated individual with a passion to learn and explore new concepts.
  • Bachelor students in year 3 are ideal with more advanced students also considered. The candidate needs to have experience and proficiency with Python.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the team defining how AMD analyzes timing and noise performance in the world’s most advanced chips and 3D-IC systems built on the most advanced manufacturing processes
  • Skills learned in this role are applicable across the integrated circuit industry.
  • You’ll work with senior staff on well defined projects that are integral to creating new features in AMD analysis flows
  • The projects will be software focused with an emphasis on flow design and data analytics around industry tools from Synopsys, Cadence, and Ansys. The implementation languages will primarily be Python and Perl
  • You’ll also be working and coordinating with design teams to present results from completed projects
