Requirements

  • Must have participated in the Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fair (MSEF) and been a grand prize winner.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, immunology, pharmaceutical Sciences, bioengineering, biomaterials, biochemistry or other STEM related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028.
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the internship.
  • Must have permanent US work authorization.
  • Strong technical/analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
  • Proven ability to work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills in order to maintain a high level of productivity to complete assignments on-time.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cancer cell lines in culture, including routine passaging of cells and maintenance of research cell banks
  • Isolate primary immune cells from whole blood or leukopaks
  • Plan and execute in vitro experiments, including (a) test nanoparticle-based formulations in WB or isolated immune cells, (b) analysis using flow cytometry, (c) measure cytokine release using Elisa assays
  • Carefully record findings using electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Write SOPs in full detail to ensure reproducibility of the work
  • Communicate results to team members and participate in meetings
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Perform additional tasks to support research and development as the scope of the job changes as necessitated by growth of the team
