Candidates for the Summer Intern position in Government and Community Relations at the New York City Economic Development Corporation should be enrolled in or have recently completed a degree program in government/political science, community engagement, or a related field. They must have excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, be detail-oriented and organized, and be proficient in database and presentation tools. A proactive and collaborative mindset is necessary to thrive in this role. Candidates should submit a resume and cover letter and must be able to work full-time for the entirety of the 12-week program.

The candidate will be responsible for developing presentations, responding to inquiries, designing engagement strategies, preparing reports, participating in hearings, tracking legislation, conducting stakeholder analyses, representing the company at events, and other assigned tasks.
