  • Studying towards a degree qualification in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent which requires a year in Industry as part of the course.
  • Previous experience with experimental work in a laboratory
  • Knowledge of the hazards associated with handling chemicals, solvents, reactive gases, and corrosive liquids.
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis (desirable)
  • Experience in the use of software codes to handle large amounts of data (Python, Matlab, others) (desirable)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidentially with high impact to a range of audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitates various business projects and experimental programmes via the preparation/testing of materials and maintenance of the overall facilities.
  • May have responsibility for small projects depending on experience.
  • Works independently within established procedures and able to solve day-to-day technical issues.
