  • A strong desire to work in a fast paced commercially agile environment

  • Enthusiasm, curiosity and a belief that you can achieve the best results
  • Exposure to consulting within a student society is not required, but you will need to evidence your interest in commercial strategy clearly in your application.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility is given from the outset, and every intern is a valued member of a project team.
  • Throughout your time at Simon-Kucher, you will contribute to analysis and benefit from working alongside our experienced Consultants, Managers, Directors and Partners.
  • We have adopted hybrid working, but we encourage interns to make the most of face to face time with teams to maximise learning, and use remote working as an option only when it is the best option to progress their work.
  • Internships are the main route we use to recruit entry level Consultants to our London office.

What is the duration of the internship?

Internships last between 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the team you join.

What is the location of the internship?

The internship is based in London, United Kingdom.

What are the expected start dates for the internship?

Start dates for placements are from April 2025.

What teams can I apply to for the internship?

You can apply to one of the following teams: Generalist (TMT, Consumer Goods, Financial Services, LTT, Industrials), Life Sciences, Transaction Services and Private Equity, or Data Science and Data Engineering.

Are internships available for all undergraduate students?

This opportunity is aimed at penultimate year students, with the exception of Life Sciences candidates.

What qualifications do I need to apply for the internship?

Candidates should have a strong academic background, including degree level study of 2:1 or higher, excellent communication skills, high percentile numerical and reasoning skills, and a strong interest in commercial strategy.

How do I apply for the internship?

You can submit your application highlighting your motivation for the team you choose, along with answering pre-screening questions.

Is prior consulting experience required to apply?

Exposure to consulting within a student society is not required, but you should be able to evidence your interest in commercial strategy in your application.

What is the application deadline?

The application deadline is 9am, Monday 27th of January.

Will there be interviews as part of the selection process?

Yes, if your application is progressed, there will be an online selection exercise followed by an HR interview and in-person case study interviews for top-performing candidates.

Can I apply to more than one team?

No, you may only apply to one team; applying to more than one will result in your application not being considered.

Will I receive feedback if my application is unsuccessful?

Due to the high volume of candidates, it is possible that you may not receive feedback or responses to questions before the application deadline.

Is there an opportunity for full-time positions after the internship?

Yes, internships are a primary route for recruiting entry-level Consultants, with the opportunity to continue your career with Simon-Kucher upon successful completion of the internship.
