Requirements

  • Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record within Petroleum Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Subsea Technology, Marine and Offshore Technology, Cybernetics, Data Science, Industrial Economics or other relevant engineering degrees.
  • Fluent in English.
  • No more than three years of relevant full-time work experience.
  • Have completed at least two years of higher education before the internship programme starts (23 June 2025).
  • Have at least one year of higher education left after the internship programme ends (8 August 2025).
  • The interns need to be located in the country where the internship takes place during its entire duration. Equinor does not support any relocation for our summer interns.
  • Please note that Equinor does not support, or sponsor work or visa permits for internship applications. Candidates must have the necessary work permit/visa for the UK. The work permits/visas must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the internship.
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work are an advantage.
  • An awareness of risk and a commitment to safety for yourself and those around you.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to facilitate collaboration, influence stakeholders, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a project that has real world implementation and impact.
  • Be part of a high performing team, supporting daily offshore operations and planning.
  • Collaborate with Equinor's multi-disciplinary team, including geologists, geophysicists, and engineers.
  • Take part in general well-related meetings focused on capturing lessons learned, follow-up of performance and cost, risk analysis, detailed procedures and more.
