What is the duration of the summer internship program?
The summer internship program lasts for 7 weeks, beginning on 23 June and ending on 8 August 2025.
What qualifications are required to apply for the internship?
Candidates must be studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields, must have completed at least two years of higher education by the start of the internship, and have at least one year left after the internship concludes.
Is there a limit to how many internship roles I can apply for?
Yes, candidates may apply for a maximum of 3 Summer Internship roles per country.
Are relocation expenses covered for interns?
No, Equinor does not support any relocation for summer interns.
Do I need a work permit or visa to apply for the internship?
Yes, candidates must have the necessary work permit/visa for the UK that is valid at the point of application and for the duration of the internship.
What types of degrees are considered relevant for this internship?
Relevant degrees include Petroleum Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Subsea Technology, Marine and Offshore Technology, Cybernetics, Data Science, Industrial Economics, or other engineering degrees.
Are extracurricular activities considered in the selection process?
Yes, extracurricular activities and voluntary work are seen as an advantage in the selection process.
What are the key skills or qualities sought in applicants?
Key qualities include strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, motivation for the energy transition, curiosity and willingness to learn, commitment to safety, and alignment with Equinor's values of being open, collaborative, courageous, and caring.
What application documents need to be submitted?
Applicants must submit a CV/resume in English and transcripts of records or other documents describing subjects and grades obtained to date in their studies.
