Description

  • Provide support to the Strategic Sourcing team in identifying, evaluating, and implementing sourcing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiencies across various national categories. The successful candidate will gain experience in strategic sourcing, data analytics, economic modeling, negotiation, and market intelligence within the energy/refining industry. He/she will work closely with our Strategic Sourcing team on real-world projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing procurement processes and driving overall value for the organization.

Requirements

  • Degree / The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is:
  • High school diploma.
  • College Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level in Business, specifically Supply Chain Management, Business, Management, Accounting, Finance. Industrial Distribution will also be considered.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • List any specialized training or unique skills required:
  • Working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis and economic modeling to assess market trends, pricing dynamics, and supplier performance.
  • Lead Rent vs. Buy analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and viability of insourcing a national category (Cornerstone Project).
  • Develop and maintain indexation models to track and adjust contract terms based on market fluctuations.
  • Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and rebates (Cornerstone Project).
  • Assist in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
