Responsibilities

  • Some of the key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Management Co-op Student will be:
  • Contracts:
  • Assist in the development of contracting & procurement strategies;
  • Support Contract Analyst in pre-award activities including but not limited to preparing RFx documents, collecting bidders’ information, compiling stakeholder feedback, populating evaluations, conducting commercial analysis, preparing award documentation, conforming contracts, completing tasks in Contract Management System (Ivalua);
  • Manage contract post-award activities including but not limited to preparing and executing contract documents (work releases, change orders, etc), maintaining supplier relations, coordinating proponent collaboration, maintaining price lists, instituting Supply Relationship Management (SRM) implementation where applicable, resolving contract reconciliations based on commercial terms / audit findings, and completing contract close-outs;
  • Actively participate in assigned project(s) by providing commercial support, coordinating preparation activities, and executing assigned contracting requirements;
  • Manage assigned contracts to capture value creation for the Company (cost reduction, cost avoidance and efficiency improvement initiatives). Report value creation results as requested;
  • Manage and maintain assigned contracts in the Contract Management System (Ivalua);
  • Ensure that assigned service requests, contracts, and associated SAP documents are completed prior to any services being provided or goods being delivered, and are appropriately managed throughout the life of the project and then properly closed out.
