Responsibilities

  • Transportation: this intern will be responsible for managing DTNA’s transportation network, which includes a variety of functions related to freight management within the network; i.e. suppliers, 3rd party warehouses/cross docks, truck plants, and PDCs. This team works on optimizing the transportation network to ensure timely delivery, while meeting operational + cost targets.
  • 3PL Network (procurement, warehousing, cross-docks. etc.): this intern will be responsible for managing DTNA’s 3PL network. This team manages the operational performance within the 3PL network to primarily support the truck plants. This network includes 14+ warehouses and 6+ cross docks in North America.
  • Packaging: this intern will be responsible for ensuring all parts within the DTNA network have an approved packaging concept. In addition, the team manages the returnable packaging inventory within the network to ensure suppliers are able to meet their shipping requirements.
  • Develop innovative ideas and knowledge for cross-divisional internal topics for process optimization strategies within supplier management
  • Lead continuous improvement activities within the team as needed
  • Align logistics concepts, strategies, and savings initiatives within the DTNA 3PL network
