Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • High School Diploma or State Equivalent certification required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Must be able to accommodate occasional overnight travel, or longer, may be needed, typically on a weekly basis or less.
  • Must be physically able to carry equipment and supplies over uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

  • Possible Training Opportunities:
  • Operate a robotic total station.
  • Operate GNSS survey equipment for base and rover RTK, network RTK, and Static GNSS occupations.
  • Operate a Carlson Data Collector.
  • Locate topographic features for mapping and contours.
  • Keep detailed field notes and sketches.
  • Maintenance and adjustment of survey equipment.
  • Operate 3D terrestrial scanner.
  • Perform computations.
