Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the Food & Beverage Management Team, the candidate will....
  • Assist with brainstorming, coordinating and facilitating Sustainability initiatives at The Palm Beach County Convention Center that promote local environmental, energy, economic, and social sustainability within the F&B department.
  • Assist with brainstorming and planning future sustainability initiatives to implement as a part of the building’s upcoming expansion plans.
  • Assist in training all F&B staff and creating a “buy-in” culture for our sustainability programs and efforts.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Purchase Order system is adhered to for all orders received at the warehouse; verify proper specification, size, quantity, etc. of goods received; supervise proper labeling, dating and stocking of supplies.
  • Assist the Office Manager with processing Purchase Orders and invoices.
  • Maintaining and managing sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
  • Assist in developing new blueprints for optimized storage across all F&B storage spaces (Dry Goods Warehouse, Pantries, Equipment Shelving, etc.)
  • Assist in optimizing new inventory travel paths for Culinary and FOH to decrease waste.
  • Assist with record keeping as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building, exposure to loud noises, and standing for long periods of time.
