  • This role is with KBR’s Government Solutions U.S. division. At KBR Government Solutions, we don't just envision a world that's safer, more secure, and sustainable - we create it. Our legacy of delivering advanced full life cycle professional and technical solutions is matched only by our commitment to operational readiness and innovation. As stewards of critical missions for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, NASA, and other key federal entities, we excel in engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT, and cybersecurity. United in our quest for excellence, KBR stands at the vanguard, ready to transform possibilities into impactful realities for a better tomorrow.
  • KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking science, engineering and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2024 Intern class.
  • With several of our Military Space customers we are seeing more requests for utilizing edge computing for tactical systems to process and/or provide a faster tactical picture for the customer. Many commercial systems could fit the processing and storage requirements of what the customer is looking for but until this point, we have not identified the best candidates out of the possible pool of providers. The purpose of this internship project will be to research various edge computing offerings, create a list of use-cases these offerings would fit, and produce a working prototype based on the research displaying the value these systems can provide to the NSS customer.

  • Computer science software programming experience with Python, Java, RUSH, GO, Node.js and/or C/C++
  • Experience in Cloud Computing and Systems Engineering
  • Experience with hardware-software interfaces.
