  • This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world. We do have some minimum requirements for you to meet. If you’re fascinated by business and can’t wait to get stuck into complex projects that make a difference, you’ll fit right in.

  • What kind of work will I do?:
  • Join our student programme within Tax Consulting and you’ll get to work on the tax affairs of many high-profile companies across a range of sectors. We work with many of the world’s most influential businesses, from tech start-ups to public sector bodies; from FTSE 100 and Global 2000 multinational groups to charities. We’re sure you’ll recognise their names! We also work with private clients of high net worth, including business owners, private equity firms or international clients. A role with us will involve a mix of reporting and advisory work. One day you could be researching and writing about tax-related topics, the next getting involved in pricing or deals. The diverse nature of our work means you may be advising the manager of a mobility programme or helping a business deal with tax authorities. Often, our clients and colleagues will work overseas.
  • How will I develop?:
  • We are focussed on ensuring that your work is fully supported by the right level of training and development, underpinned by in-role experience of working with clients and colleagues. You will be allocated a buddy who will provide support as you transition into your new role, as well as a coach who will help with career guidance and development.
  • If you convert onto the Graduate programme, as a new hire into Tax Consulting we will support you into becoming a well-rounded Tax Consultant, able to articulate complex ideas and constructively challenge the status quo. Your Graduate training and development will include locally-delivered, practical training sessions, providing you with excellent opportunities to learn, build your network and advance your career. • Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) qualification
  • ACA Accounting Qualification
  • ICAS (Scotland only)
  • ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB)
