Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Development, Project Management,
  • Preferred Competencies:
  • Practical analytical and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of relational databases/database structures/schemas, data flow diagrams, and data specifications
  • Proficiency with Google Office tools, including meetings, slides, and spreadsheets.
  • Familiar with spreadsheet formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Experience with RDBMS systems and/or big data and Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • As an Ascension Technologies Intern, you will be able to work on real-life and meaningful projects, develop your technical skills, collaborate, and network with various teams across the IT Infrastructure and Security continuum. This work involves gathering requirements to understand stakeholder needs, defining models, researching evidence-based practice and outcome metrics, and receiving mentorship.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Participates in technology-related projects
  • Shadows employees to understand different roles in the organization
  • Gains familiarity with different healthcare IT systems
  • Research and data gathering for key initiatives
  • Collaborates with technical resources to perform root cause analysis and complete remediation of technology issues
  • Collaborates on driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals
  • Translates functional requirements to technical specifications.
  • Supports issue escalation and resolution
