Responsibilities

  • Utilize syndicated data and internal metrics (revenue, spend, ROI) to evaluate and select customer-specific trade rates and slotting approvals with minimal risks.
  • Review customer promotional spending plans in MEI for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with guidelines and budgets.
  • Identify specific examples of trade spending effectiveness best practices and share across the Retail Sales team.
  • Create and deploy tools to track trade spending budgets, while identifying areas to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist the Director on all major MAPS initiatives (annual planning, core void identification and closure, new item launches budget reconciliation, and customer specific growth projects).
  • Assist in the development of the strategic sales and trade plans.
  • Conduct pre- and post-promotional analysis for key accounts and across channel archetypes.
  • Develop promo event-level guidelines.
  • Work with Sales to develop ROI-informed promotional calendars/plans.
  • Maintain promo effectiveness scorecards.
  • Develop quarterly promo effectiveness reviews.
  • Run analytics to understand effectiveness of trade terms (e.g., incremental margin or growth per dollar invested in a given account) and make recommended changes.
  • Partner with Trade Strategy team to develop, implement, and manage trade spend architecture by channel.
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to develop customer sell-in stories when needed.
