Description

  • Stantec's multi-disciplinary office on 5th Avenue in NYC has an opportunity for a highly motivated Transportation Engineering Intern/Co-op.
  • This is a paid internship/co-op position with full time or part-time hours during Summer of 2024. We believe training, collaboration, and connections are strengthened by working alongside team members. Therefore, this is primarily an office position with limited remote work (if any) anticipated.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Excel.
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
  • An interest in transportation planning and engineering.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree engineering program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with transportation impact studies, traffic data collection and data analysis, report writing, and other technical assignments.
  • Collect traffic data via publicly available sources and field visits.
  • Analyze traffic data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Perform traffic analyses using HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Cube.
  • Support our roadway design and traffic engineering groups.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
