Requirements

  • Enthusiastic and motivated to learn and develop technical skills related to transportation planning
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience with the production of planning reports and documents
  • Additional experience with graphics (Illustrator, InDesign) and mapping/database analysis using ArcGIS programs
  • The ability to work in downtown Boston
  • Education and Experience:
  • In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree (minimum) or in a Graduate program in Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support a project team in the development of maps, presentations, graphics, and reports, for relevant project elements.
  • Perform transportation-related analyses within programs such as Microsoft Excel and ArcGIS
  • Research parking, transit, and multimodal issues and trends for project work
  • Assist team with administrative and organizational work, including researching new opportunities
  • Attend meetings by phone and in person and take notes, including translating those to client-ready products such as meeting minutes
  • Tasks will require proficiency in some or all of the following: ArcGIS, the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
