Responsibilities

  • - You will be aligned to one or two of the PsyCen programmes over the course of the academic year.
  • - You will be encouraged to attend PsyCen research meetings.
  • - You will have an opportunity to be involved in real life research projects.
  • - This may involve undertaking literature searches and/or reviews and to assist in the preparation of ethics applications.
  • - Conduct primary research (archival/online) and/or experimental, fieldwork and survey.
  • - Assist in setting up interviews and focus groups and to transcribe individual participant and focus group interviews.
  • - Perform appropriate data analysis and draft research reports, presenting data in a clear and logical manner.
  • - You will learn key research skills which can be applied to postgraduate studies (MRes or PhD) or to build competencies which will be valuable for your future employment.
  • - You will also gain confidence in liaising with the research team and our collaborators and be exposed to a number of different research programmes and projects.
