Responsibilities

The Scientist I – Intern will participate in USP collaborative studies, other programs related to development and maintenance of quality Reference Standards, and general laboratory activities. Their work will result in obtaining analytical data used in USP robust, scientific standard setting process to enhance USP mission of helping to ensure the quality, safety, and benefit of medicines and foods.
How will YOU create impact here at USP?
During the 12-week period of the internship (on-site), the intern will complete initial orientation to USP and Reference Standards Laboratory. The successful candidate for Scientist I – Intern will have the opportunity to develop hands on experience and solidify their knowledge in various analytical laboratory technics. This will be achieved by working with lab scientists, technical training, job shadowing, and rotation. The intern may also perform other duties to support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
During this period, interns may participate in other social activities within the scope of USP policies and practices.
