Requirements

  • Junior or Senior Undergraduate Student (Bachelors) working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Game Design, or a related field.
  • Available to intern for summer 2025.
  • Experience creating and manipulating large, 3D CAD models in Siemens NX, or Creo software environments
  • Experience with tools and environments such as: Unity, Unreal, Pixyz, Maya, Visual Studio, C++, C#, Python, Javascript and similar a plus
  • Experience developing instructional-based games in Unity or Unreal software platforms a plus
  • Expert knowledge of VR hardware and software configurations and standards. Knowledge of Steam and Windows Mixed Reality HMDs a plus
  • Knowledge of video and audio production software, such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, TechSmith Camtasia a plus
  • Knowledge of Lua scripting a plus
  • Strong visual and interaction skills

Responsibilities

  • Learn to develop immersive, VR-based learning content utilizing industry-standard software
  • Work with industry standard 3D CAD software
  • Assist VR Team with annual updates to existing VR modules to ensure accuracy
  • Create and maintain a library of VR-ready models and re-usable VR-specific code and scenes
  • Troubleshoot VR hardware/software end-user issues both remotely and in the classroom
  • Work on special in-house projects during your internship
