The primary responsibility of the Waste Reduction OEM Support Intern is to work under the supervision of a BD Excellence Manager to help reduce waste on manufacturing lines through various assigned tasks.
What are the qualifications required for this internship?
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited University/College Engineering program, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
How many hours per week are interns expected to work?
Interns are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week while also being enrolled in school.
Is the internship located in Sandy, UT?
Yes, this part-time internship is located at BD's office in Sandy, UT, and candidates must be able to commute to this location.
What type of training will the intern receive during the internship?
The intern will learn validation principles through BD validation training and will also receive training in Lean Manufacturing methodology through Operational Excellence training.
