Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Strong interest in water quality monitoring, environmental science, and natural resource management.
Familiarity with water quality parameters, sampling techniques, and laboratory analysis methods is preferred.
Experience with fieldwork and data collection in outdoor environments is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Conduct water quality sampling and field measurements at designated sites, including rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and groundwater wells.
Assist in collecting water samples for laboratory analysis, following standard protocols and procedures.
Perform on-site water quality tests, such as pH, temperature, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and nutrient levels, using handheld meters and equipment.
Assist in analyzing water quality data and interpreting results to assess water quality conditions and trends.
Support the maintenance and calibration of field equipment and instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurements.
Assist in preparing technical reports, summaries, and presentations summarizing water quality monitoring results and findings.
Collaborate with team members to identify potential sources of pollution or contamination and recommend corrective actions or mitigation measures.
Perform other tasks and support the water quality team as needed.
