Requirements

  • Actively pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree; rising Junior or Senior
  • All School of Business Majors (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial planning, or Taxation (preferred)
  • Significant interest in the workings of retirement plans and private wealth management
  • Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starter
  • High-level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve results
  • Demonstrate highest personal ethics and integrity
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of information
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others

Responsibilities

  • Support business development activities such as prospecting initiatives, research for potential COIs, creating and analyzing client reports for presentation, and providing client service when needed
  • Assist performance reporting team in the preparation and review of quarterly performance reports
  • Assist in the preparation and review of fee and expense benchmarking analysis and reports for qualified retirement plans
  • Contribute to new research, project initiatives and ad hoc projects within required deadlines
  • Learn and develop qualified and non-qualified retirement plan knowledge and skills
  • Work closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Institutional team
  • Support the transition of client’s financial planning data into our financial planning system, WealthView, specifically the data of clients
  • Support business development activities such as portfolio analytics and marketing deliverables with prospective clients
  • Support client meeting preparation and organization with team members and advisors
  • Learn WealthView, BlackDiamond and other planning software(s)
  • Contribute to new research, project initiatives and ad hoc projects within required deadlines
  • Learn and develop financial planning knowledge and skills
  • Learn key professional presentation and relationship building skills
  • Work closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Wealth Planning team
