What positions are currently available for the internship?
There are currently two internships available: Web Applications Development Intern and Data Modeling Intern.
Are the internship positions remote?
Yes, both positions are remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements.
What are the working hours for the internship?
The hours are flexible between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, with part-time hours during the school year (20 hours per week) and full-time hours during summer break (40 hours per week).
Is residency in Ohio required for the internship?
Yes, candidates must be Ohio residents for the entirety of the internship.
What is the target timeline for the internship?
The target timeline for this internship is from November 2024 to November 2025.
What kind of work will the Web Applications Development Intern do?
The Web Applications Development Intern will support web application development for the Taussig Cancer Center’s existing and new web applications.
What responsibilities will the Data Modeling Intern have?
The Data Modeling Intern will support data migration from Teradata to the Snowflake database and assist with MS SQL Server database/ETL development for existing and new applications.
What qualifications are required for applicants?
Minimum qualifications include current college enrollment and the ability to discuss and weigh pros and cons, make definitive choices, and express opinions logically.
What skills are preferred for candidates applying to the internship?
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, VisualStudio.NET, Angular, React, SQL, as well as experience with Microsoft SharePoint, MS SQL Server, SSIS, Snowflake, and Azure DevOps.
Will interns have networking opportunities?
Yes, interns will have the chance to network with Cleveland Clinic caregivers and gain exposure to various healthcare fields and careers.
What are the physical requirements for this position?
The physical requirements include full range of body motion, frequent standing and sitting, and the need for corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
What personal protective equipment is required?
Interns will need to follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
