Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of remainder of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Self-Starter with Ability to multitask, follow-up, and work within a deadline
Must be able to learn and work within a team structure
Must be able to learn and work with multiple web-based programs or systems
Must be able to work in New York Tribeca Office
Education and/or Experience:
1 year of client-facing or customer service experience is preferred
Rising senior of a four year university preferred

Responsibilities

Assist Claims Adjusters & VP of Claims with handling of active claims, including but not limited to filing claims documents in the claimant’s case files; making phone calls; reviewing files and completing claim diaries
Open new work-related incidents and claims in the claims administrative system
Communicate with Claims Adjusters regarding new and existing claims
Verify claim information including but not limited to: Contacting employers for claim information
Process First and Subsequent Report of Injury forms based on claim information
Review and process invoices from vendors
Processing and mailing checks with attachments to injured workers, medical providers, and vendors
Support and collaborate with existing claims team
Perform other duties as assigned
