Requirements

  • Completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, conferred in business administration, human resources, or a closely related field.
  • One year of human resources related experience.
  • General computer literacy, including basic competency with Microsoft Office.

  • Data entry, analysis, and management skills with the ability to identify errors in data/reports and problem-solve.
  • Certifications or licenses in professional HR organizations such as SHRM and/or HRCI.
  • Professional experience within, or knowledge of, higher education, Extension, and/or the land-grant university system.
  • Willingness to travel within the state of Colorado up to three (3) times per year, for one to three nights per travel occurrence.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the complete hiring process of employees for OEE, from vacancy recognition to onboarding. Ensures all steps are completed in a timely manner as defined by OEE HR service expectations, and coordinates activities of hiring committees to provide an exceptional experience for committees and candidates.
  • Follows established pre-employment and recruitment processes in compliance with OEO and the University by creating documents such as vacancy announcements, minimum qualifications screening forms, interview score sheets, final applicant lists, regret letters, and appointment(offer) letters throughout the recruitment and hiring cycles.
  • Responsible for data entry into the Talent Management System and HRIS at all phases of recruitment and job offers to support the hiring process of full-time positions as defined by classification (administrative professional, state classified, and faculty). This includes, but is not limited to, position descriptions, job posting information, promotional announcements, required information from hiring committees throughout their search processes, and vacancy updates.
  • Advertises vacant positions through various listservs and paid websites. Makes recommendations for additional venues to improve visibility of advertised positions and to improve access to diverse or underrepresented groups.
  • Serves as point of contact providing guidance and support for recruitment and hiring processes to all employees of OEE.
  • Serves in search support role as needed to ensure responsive and timely hiring processes. This may include coordination of search committee meetings, scheduling of interviews, communication of necessary information to applicants and interview candidates, assisting with travel forms and reimbursements, and other support necessary for a successful search process.
  • Assists with various onboarding processes for new employees, such as email communications to new employees and supervisors, new employee orientation, facilitation of ordering name badges and business cards, I-9 verification, etc.
  • Responsible for record keeping, tracking, monitoring, and compiling of data across multiple technology systems for all units within OEE. Including HRIS, ATS, timekeeping system, and others as required for business continuity and compliance.
  • Oversees annual evaluation processes for AP and SC employees and annual HR processes (FWA, COI, motor vehicles), including communication, tracking, and reporting, and assists the Senior HR Manager in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Updates emergency contacts, personal information, guest associate updates.
  • Supports the HR team by managing and organizing appointments, meetings, and events for individuals and the HR team, scheduling project meetings and tracking milestones, and coordinating and managing event timelines.
  • Supports special leave needs for all employees of OEE such as Family Medical Leave (FML), parental leave, jury duty, Short-Term Disability (STD), bereavement/funeral leave.
  • Assists with providing updates as defined by OEE HR service expectations for a variety of HR-related topics through meetings, intranet postings, and other communication methods. Examples include search updates, new hire introductions, guidance, and training on identified needs within OEE, etc.
  • Assists with the completion of various reports and data requests from across the various technology systems used by the University. Examples include hiring and turnover metrics, demographics reports, and other benchmarks as needed.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned within the OEE HR team
  • As requested, may assist with new employee orientation sessions, topic modules, meetings, or other events required for the successful on-boarding of new employees within OEE.
  • As requested, may assist with the creation and/or presentation of compelling educational presentations and materials to increase organizational understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures. Subject matters may include, but is not limited to, employment practices, performance management, recruitment, and compliance with state and federal legal requirements.
  • As requested, may act as a representative of the OEE HR team, OEE, and CSU at various meetings with employees and leadership teams across OEE.
  • Learns new concepts, software, processes, and procedures, and provides guidance to employees across OEE of relevant changes for successful implementation.
