What is the main focus of the 2D Electrical Design Engineer role?
The main focus of the role is to deliver the concept, design, development, and deployment of new electrical and electronic systems into the Excavator product range, ensuring technical deliverables are met.

The successful candidate will report into the Lead EDS Engineer.
What are the required qualifications for this position?
A candidate should be qualified to HND/Degree level in an electronic/software based technology discipline or equivalent experience.
What kind of experience is preferred for this role?
Experience within Tier 1 or OE sectors (both on-highway and off-highway), along with experience using CAD and electrical design tools (preferably Zuken) is preferred.
What specific systems and technologies will the engineer be working with?
The engineer will be working with low voltage 12/24V DC vehicle systems and electronic lab tools, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and DC power supplies.
What responsibilities will the engineer have regarding component release?
The engineer will be responsible for ECN release and checking to drive consistent standards through the global team, as well as coordinating 3rd party support vendors when releasing new components.
What types of analysis will the engineer be involved in?
The engineer will support cause and effect analysis, including risk assessments, FMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa/fishbone methods.
