Ambition Wanted…

University isnt for everyone.

If you are looking for a way to pursue your passions and a career in Accountancy, then applying for one of our high-end trainee Accounting Assistant apprenticeships might be the perfect next step for you.

We currently have a position available within our West Cumbria offices. We want highly motivated and ambitious people to join our growing accountancy firm with offices across the North of England & Scotland. We see our trainees as the future of our firm and offer lots of different training options as your career progresses with us.

When you are with Armstrong Watson LLP, you will be welcomed with rewarding work and a supportive learning environment to reach your full potential. We are proud to be recognised as one of the Top 100 Apprenticeship employers in the UK and our training programme brings together classroom study and on the job learning as part of our high-end apprenticeship study packages. You will learn a variety of invaluable skills and there will be lots of on the job training to support your development.

You will be supported over a 3 year period where you will gain a sought after accounting qualification and establish a solid foundation for a successful career in Accounting. The AAT role and qualification is mainly focused on preparing accounts, VAT, bookkeeping and accounts reporting.

Successful completion of the full AAT qualification (up to Level 4) allows you to internally apply for our ACA Graduate / Trainee Chartered Accountant programme. This will take you through a further 3 years of training and learning, resulting in you qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Our training programmes give you the opportunity to gain globally-recognised qualifications without going to University.

We want candidates who demonstrate strong communication skills, who are driven to succeed with a can-do positive attitude and strong work ethic.
