Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation for the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) under the direction of the Acute Oncology Nurses.
  • Data collection to ensure compliance with regional key performance and quality performance indicators.
  • You will be part of a small dynamic team providing an acute oncology service to patients admitted to the four acute hospital sites in Aneurin Bevan University Health board.
  • Working collaboratively with coordinators across South East Wales, the successful candidate will help ensure a smooth and efficient pathway for patients presenting with oncological emergencies.
  • Drawing on their administrative experience, the post holder will provide high-quality, day-to-day administrative and organisational support for the acute oncology service.
  • Responsibilities include accurately recording confidential clinical meetings in real time, communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, collating and entering data to ensure compliance with regional key performance indicators.
  • The role will also include cross covering with other areas within cancer services to contribute to sustainability of services.
  • This role is pan-Gwent to align with service needs and the candidate will be required to travel between sites as needed.
