  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Accounting/Financial, IAP2, Prosci Change Management, Behavioural Insights, Service Design, UX, Design Thinking, Research Techniques, Public Policy, Data/Analytics, Communications
  • Related experience may be obtained through working in the private, public or non-profit sector, through volunteerism, post-graduate studies or through internships such as Co-Op.
  • Core Experience Requirements (all required):
  • Experience performing in-depth research and analysis of policy issues, and preparing options and recommendations
  • Experience writing a variety of documents and/or content for a broad range of audiences, including senior officials
  • Related experience must include all core experience requirements and at least two (2) of supplemental experience requirements:
  • Supplemental Experience Requirements (at least 2 required)
  • Experience researching and providing advice and recommendations on legislation, program and/or service issues
  • Experience managing projects and/or project components
  • Experience utilizing traditional policy approaches, instruments, and methodology
  • Experience reporting on evaluation and performance indicators
  • Experience consulting, communicating and/or engaging with rights holders, partners and stakeholders.
  • Preference may be given to applicants:
  • With experience completing complex analyses and effectively leveraging available data sources
  • With experience working with payment schedules or similar reimbursement systems.
  • With experience requirements obtained while working in health care service access and delivery.
  • That self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • - Work with a team responsible for overseeing the Medical Services Commission (MSC) Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) Payment Schedule.
  • - Develop and implement the LFP Payment Schedule policies and procedures.
  • - Oversee the implementation of fees and billing rules in the claims system.
  • - Coordinate stakeholder engagement efforts for payment schedule changes.
  • - Respond to other stakeholder questions and inquiries related to billing fees, coverage, adjudication and complaints.
