Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant scientific field (Essential)
  • Solid track record of hands-on analytics experience (Essential)
  • Direct marketing or customer analytics experience in the retail sector (Essential)
  • Experience of using SQL to pull and analyse customer and transactional level data from a relational database (Essential)
  • Experience of using a data visualisation tool, such as Power BI, Tableau or similar (Essential)
  • Proven advanced Excel (Essential)
  • Experience of Alteryx or similar data analytics tool (Strongly Preferred)
  • Experience of managing & mentoring a team (Strongly Preferred)
  • Customer data architecture knowledge and system migration experience (Strongly Preferred)
  • Campaign planning and data selection execution experience (Preferred)
  • Other desirable experience: Digital/Product/Category Analytics; Online/Offline Attribution; Marketing Segmentation; Propensity Modelling.

Responsibilities

  • Be custodian of CDP and managing data integrity of database for BI – through good working relationships with IT and managed service partners.
  • Management and continuous improvement of reporting via Power BI and empowering wider business teams to utilise the tool
  • Introduce ways of working so that the team is close to Marketing & trade activity – in order to be proactive in bespoke analysis & reporting.
  • Pro-actively defining and recommending new marketing & customer analytics to both improve performance & support ad-hoc project activities.
  • Developing and implementing in-house predictive propensity models to help optimise targeted Marketing activity.
  • Management of 3rd party partners and ensuring timely delivery of contracted services
  • Continuously working to streamlining and improve processes, maximising the quality and speed of work undertaken.
  • Be responsible for managing adhoc requests for analysis from wider business and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Maintaining and developing good relationships and communication with the customer team and across departments.
  • Working closely with Research manage to enable 360° insight where possible
  • Managing & developing analysts to be champions and advocate for insight and analytics across wider business
