Responsibilities

  • To assist customers and consultants in the design and specification of fire detection systems. To include equipment design/selection, being able to provide a full technical turnkey solution to any site requirement.
  • Expert in fire detection system design being able to correctly site equipment so that it will both meet local legislative requirements and adequately protect the assessed risk.
  • Being able to produce detailed arrangement drawings, schematics, and bill of materials whilst ensuring that the specific equipment design parameters have been adhered to and that the system will operate correctly when called upon.
  • Understand the wide range of Eaton solutions and be able to both design new systems as well as upgrades in the most customer centric way. (Knowledge of legacy and other manufacturer equipment is highly desirable)
  • Be willing to travel to customers and train and assist them in using Eaton Fire Detection solutions.
  • Be able to help solve technical issues as a 1st port of call before calling in the technical support team.
  • Must be up-to-date on latest electrical codes and specifically Fire Detection standards in the geographic region.
  • Has to have (or build) a good working knowledge of sales support systems, and Eaton commercial operating methods, enabling an exceptional level of pre sales support to the customer.
  • Will be able to author and critique technical manuals, being involved in the production of sales and technical documentation to accompany new product introductions.
