Responsibilities

  • This role is accountable for supporting Ship/Area/Installation Managers in delivering projects and area outputs within a manufacturing environment, in accordance with the developed plan
  • The Area Coordinator is required to organise activities and tasks for specific projects, ensuring production activities are executed safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring all activities associated with the manufacture, production and assembly and installation of components are completed in accordance with safety, design, quality and customer requirements
  • Coordination and de-confliction of production activities in accordance with the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD)
  • Facilitation of production issue resolution, to ensure that hold-ups to schedule are minimised
  • Support Ship, Area and Installation Managers with Control Account and Contract Master Schedule reporting obligations, including monitoring progress and maintaining the schedule
  • The Area Coordinator is primarily accountable to support the Area Manager and safely coordinate and deliver a key phase of work during the Shipbuilding lifecycle
  • The Shipbuilding scope of this role will include:
  • Production mobilisation
  • Production pilots
  • Ship docking and undocking activities
  • Implementation of upgrades and engineering changes
  • Maintenance activities
  • Establish strong relationships and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure best for program outcomes
