Responsibilities

  • Sketch all seasonal designs in Adobe Illustrator and prepare line review presentation materials
  • Support the design team in sourcing and selecting suitable fabrics, washes, trims, and embellishments for garment prototypes and production.
  • Attend all style fittings and provide input/feedback as necessary; Keep detailed notes from all fittings.
  • Communicate with domestic and overseas vendors to ensure that all requests, changes, updates, etc. are handled in a quick, concise, and thoughtful manner.
  • Research competitive markets through shopping, internet, and print media research. Assist in identifying seasonal fashion direction and brand right trends.
  • Research, develop, track, and approve all design trims for each collection within a season.
  • Organize all style and trim information for reference and easy access.
  • Previous experience or internships in fashion design preferred.
