Requirements

  • Experience of working within, or with, Audit department of a large Financial Services organisation or within the Insurance industry
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and / or Solvency II
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships
  • A relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or international equivalent)
  • Commercial awareness of current economic and market trends
  • Knowledge or awareness of developments in Insurance regulation
  • Strong analytical capabilities collaborative approach and be a good team player
  • Report writing, presentation and interpersonal skills, including ability to engage at all levels
  • An enquiring / analytical mind and ability to use initiative, adapt and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of our team, reporting to a Manager / Senior Manager or Director, you will assist in the provision of a range of different service offerings provided by the CFO Advisory team, which may include:
  • Advising clients on IFRS and UKGAAP accounting queries
  • Assessing the impact of new accounting standards such as IFRS 9and 17 and assisting clients with implementation
  • Performing accounting policy and financial statements reviews
  • Drafting technical accounting papers
  • Supporting clients with financial reporting processes
  • Advising clients on Solvency II methodology
  • Assisting our clients with analytics
